If you have a local business and you work from Monday to Friday, why would you need to run your ad words campaign from Monday to Sunday?

Hi guys! My name is Ximena and in today’s Shark Bite, I’ll give you tips to make the most of your ad words campaign with ad scheduling.

Timing is Crucial

Timing is everything, right? First of all, you should only schedule your ads when you’re going to be present in your business. It’s as simple as, if you’re not going to be there, then why should your ads run at that time?

Limit Exposure During Low Response Times

Secondly, and after you have gathered enough data, you should consider disabling your campaigns during low response times or at times when data has shown you don’t get as many relevant clicks. So for example, if you’re a dentist and you don’t offer any emergency services, then why would you run your campaign at 1:00 a.m. in the morning?

Increase Bids During Good Performing Times

My third tip would be pretty much the opposite of the last one. I actually recommend that you raise your bids during the time that data has shown that you get the most relevant clicks.

Make Use of the Dimensions Tab

My fourth and last tip is that you don’t just stop there. Aside from raising your bids at the times that convert the most, I recommend you go over your dimensions pack to see the hour of the day or the day of the week that you get the most conversions.

So, What If Your Product Is Seasonal?

For season products, I would even consider tossing your ad words campaign on days that just don’t work. I know it sounds scary but comes on! It’s worth giving it a try if it’s going to make your budget work.

Remember, It’s Not One Size Fits All

Time for Google AdWords is always cyclical. This is why timeframes that work during a certain period of time, might not work across all seasons. Also, you need to keep in mind that all ad scheduling will not work in any type of industry. So this is why you need to learn about your consumer behavior and your industry’s way of buying.
